Bavgruppe Designs is a NY based internet automobile parts company operating out of New York. We began life in 2007 as a headlight modification company and formally incorporated in 2015. Today we specialize in sales of headlight/taillight/performance components and other automobile parts.

OUR HEADLIGHT MODIFICATION BUSINESS MODEL/HOW TO BUY

Our core business is selling parts for you to install. We can also provide services (i.e., for fully modified headlights built to your specification), at an additional cost, using our installer network. If you are interested in a build there are a few ways to proceed:

    • Purchase a kit/parts and install yourself;

    • Send in your headlights to one of our authorized installers for modification. Our list of installers can be found by clicking here. Additional resources can be found here. Some of our authorized installers have core exchanges (you exchange your good to excellent condition set of headlights for a set of modified headlights, damaged lights do not qualify), which may speed up the process for you (ask);

    • Purchase a new set of headlights and parts from us and we will coordinate and send parts to the installer of your choice (please make an agreement/contract with the installer yourself) to modify the headlights to your specifications/options.

      RETURNS/WARRANTY POLICY/SHIPPING

  • All sales are final across all of our headlight, taillight, and carbon fiber products and we do not accept returns.
  • We can only exchange taillights/carbon fiber for the same model taillights/carbon product if there is a defect which needs to be verified and evaluated via photo and video proof.
  • Due to the customized nature of headlight orders, custom headlight build cancellations are subject to a 25% non refundable fee unless it is a special case (e.g. transfer of ownership of the vehicle) which require documentation and we determine if the fee is applicable or not on a case by case basis. The 25% cancellation fee is required due to special order/unique/non-refundable parts as well as labor and services rendered. 
  • We recommend professional removal and installation of the headlights/headlight parts and we are not liable for any damage incurred from self installation. In some instances, coding may be required for the headlights or parts for all features to function 100% correctly. Coding and associated fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
  • Each headlight retrofit we offer features a 1 year warranty which covers against any defects related to service performed by Bavgruppe. This warranty only covers the original purchaser of the retrofit and cannot transfer to future owners. After 30 days of receiving the retrofitted Bavgruppe headlights, the customer is required to pay for shipping costs related to warranty repair work; we take care of the warranty related service as well as the return shipping costs for U.S. customers. International customers are required to pay for shipping costs to us and return shipping. Any labor costs associated with headlight removal/reinstallation are the  sole responsibility of the original purchaser. Bavgruppe does not reimburse for any labor costs associated with headlight removal/reinstallation.
  • For taillight products, the 1 year warranty only covers the original purchaser and cannot transfer to future owners. After 30 days of receiving Bavgruppe taillights, the customer is required to pay for shipping costs related to warranty exchanges, we take care of the warranty replacement in compliance with the manufacturer requirements as well as the return shipping costs.
  • All other parts sales are final.  We honor exchanges for defective parts or returns where there has been an error on our part.  If we make an exception to policy and allow a return, shipping and handling charges we incurred to ship a part are not refunded.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you purchase the correct part. Please read the purchase link carefully and understand what you are buying. If you order an incorrect part and need an exchange and we can honor the exchange, there will be charges that include shipping fees, a restocking fee, and any difference in cost or additional shipping. If the package is opened but the product is in new unaltered condition there may be an additional restocking charge. If the package is installed we cannot accept the return.

  • We are responsible for the replacement of any defective part within one year, and our liability extends to and ends with replacement of the defective part.  We are responsible for repairs for any work performed by our shop. Installation and removal by other shops/garages costs are not covered by Bavgruppe.
  • We do not accept returns for electrical items. We will accept exchanges if in new, unaltered condition. All returns requests/exchanges must be initiated within 7 calendar days of receipt.

  • We test all electrical items prior to shipping. If you receive a defective item, upon review and verification, we will ship a replacement item. We may ask you to provide proof the item has been rendered unusable by providing a photo with a written note indicating the date, and showing destruction of the item to be replaced.

  • We do not accept returns or cancellations on any special ordered items.

  • No returns on any items that were installed, we will gladly warranty exchange a defective part. If we provide a refund and you used Paypal, we will refund minus the Paypal charges, which are not refundable.
  • All angel eyes/LED brows/headlight LED components are extended a 1 year warranty against hardware failure. This does NOT apply to mishandling of items, tampering or installer error.

  • We will always ship to the address on the credit card used, unless you ask us specifically to do otherwise, in order to mitigate fraudulent orders.
  • For all returns, whether warranty-related or otherwise, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be obtained from our Customer Service Email (Info@bavgruppedesign.com) and the email authorizing return shipment must be included with the return shipment. Any unauthorized return will result into invalid transaction and no further refund or replacement will be provided.
  • We are not responsible for shipment charges for any warranty claim made more than 15 calendar days after a product has been received.  This applies to all parts exported out of the US, the original purchasr will be responsible for shipping costs for replacement items.
  • At its discretion, in special circumstances, Bav may elect to accept a return within 30 days from the date of delivery for a refund less 30% restocking fee and any applicable shipping charges which are non-refundable. This does not apply to parts that have been installed. Any refund or store credit made at Bav’s discretion will be minus actual shipping costs. Under no circumstances will Bav be liable for any 3rd party installation /removal costs.

  • We are not responsible for import duties or fees for any country.  If a shipment is refused by the buyer, we will give the buyer an opportunity to re-ship using the shipping method of his choice.  However, we will not grant any refund for refusal of purchase, as duty and import fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.  At it’s discretion Bav may elect to refund 50% of the cost of the item, less shipping fees to the customer as well as return shipping fees.
  • Bavgruppe will replace items that were not delivered by the shipper (i.e. marked as “lost” by the shipper). However, Bavguppe will not be responsible for items that are marked as “delivered” by the shipper, after the fact. If you have an issue with items being safely delivered to your address, please ask us to make alternate arrangements (i.e. signature required or hold at the nearest delivery location, such as a UPS Store, pickup location).

RETURNS FOR A DEFECTIVE ITEM

  • We cannot accept a return for a used item (installed on car).  We will exchange any defective part or refund if a replacement is not available
  • Proof of defect must be provided per return. A return may be rejected if proof of defect is not sent with the order.
  • All returned items must still be considered as good product in clean and odorless condition.
  • Any products found to be modified, tampered, customized, or altered in any way are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.
  • If the item is found to be defective and in warranty, we will cover the shipping up to 30 days of the order date. Proof of defect is required through pictures or videos via email.
  • Products that are returned but do not exhibit the described reason for return may be declined for return (i.e. a tail light not turning on but tested in our facility and works properly without any issues; the underlying issue may be an installation error).

INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY CLAIMS/SHIPPING

  • Products that are defective will be replaced.  After 30 days, the shipping cost for the replacement is the responsibility of the buyer.  

AFFIRM/AFTERPAY/KLARNA PAYMENTS

  • These payments generally take a couple of days to clear.  Purchases such as these generally will begin processing once the payment from the issuing credit entity is posted to Bavgruppe.
