Why Replace the Lens Instead of the Entire Headlight?
Modern OEM headlights can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars per assembly.
If the internal electronics, housing, projector and lighting functions are still working properly, replacing the entire headlight because of a damaged outer lens may be unnecessary.
Our lens replacement service allows you to retain your original headlight assembly while replacing the component that’s actually damaged.

How the Service Works

Text or email clear photos of your headlights. We’ll confirm whether the assembly is a candidate for lens replacement and verify lens availability.
2. Schedule & Ship Your Headlights
Once approved, securely package your headlight(s) and ship them to BavGruppe Designs.
3. We Remove the Damaged Lens
The existing lens is carefully separated from the headlight housing.
4. New Lens Installation & Resealing
We install the replacement lens and professionally reseal the assembly.
5. Inspection & Return Shipping
The completed headlights are inspected, carefully packaged and returned ready for installation.
Typical shop turnaround: 1–3 business days after arrival.
Optional Repairs While Your Headlights Are Open
Since the headlight is already being opened for lens replacement, this is an ideal time to address other internal problems.
Depending on the vehicle and condition of the assembly, additional services may include:
Internal wiring harness replacement
Damaged module replacement
Internal component repair
Lighting upgrades or blackout/customization
If you purchase an applicable replacement harness from BavGruppe, installation can be performed while the headlight is open. Contact us before ordering additional repairs so we can confirm availability and pricing.

Important Service Information
All headlights are photographed and inspected for visible physical damage before work begins.
Lens replacement does not automatically repair pre-existing problems such as failed modules, damaged wiring, broken internal components, accident damage or other electrical/mechanical failures. If additional damage is discovered, we’ll evaluate the assembly and discuss available repair options.
Some European and specialty headlights require additional labor or different lens pricing. Send photos before ordering for confirmation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace the lens without replacing my entire headlight?
In many cases, yes. If the housing and internal components remain serviceable, the damaged outer lens can often be replaced while retaining the original headlight assembly.
How long does the service take?
Typical shop turnaround is 1–3 business days after we receive your headlights, once the service has been scheduled.
Can I send only one headlight?
Yes. Service is available for the left side, right side or both sides.
Do you accept headlights shipped from outside New York?
Yes. BavGruppe offers nationwide mail-in headlight repair service.
Will you inspect my headlights before working on them?
Yes. Headlights are photographed and inspected for physical damage before work begins.
What if you find another problem inside the headlight?
Lens replacement covers the lens service itself. If we find damaged wiring, modules or other components, we can evaluate those issues separately and contact you regarding available repair options.
What if you don’t list a replacement lens for my vehicle?
Contact us. We can likely obtain or have the lens you need.
